Looxcie hands-on, Wearable camcorder and bluetooth headset

Looxcie hands-on, Wearable camcorder and bluetooth headset Tube. Duration : 1.73 Mins.

Leah Barash from Looxcie shows off their wearable camcorder connected to an Android phone, the Google Nexus One. Looxcie is the first small, light, easy-to-wear camcorder that videos everything the user sees. Enabled by bluetooth, the user wears it on the ear and the camera points where he/she looks. A press of the instant clip button captures 30 seconds of video and stores it on the device. Users can immediately share their clips to email, Facebook, or Twitter. The accompanying Looxcie smartphone app also turns the phone into a viewfinder, remote control, and editing tool. Looxcie can also be operated as a regular headset. Videos are captured in HVGA at 15 FPS. Battery life is 4 hours of continuous video use and 6+ hours of continuous talk time without video. Looxcie currently operates with Android 2.0 and higher smartphones, with plans for other platforms. It is available for sale right now at Amazon.com for a suggested retail price of 9. mgu.im
