Poor manufacturing processes in xbox wireless headsets causes one solder joint to fail on the back of the power input connector. This happened to me after about 12 months use. With a few tools, and a steady hand, it can be resoldered and brings the headset back to life. Usual signs are: lights won't cycle showing it's charging, lights come on for a sec then go off, showing the units charge is nearly gone, or unit won't fire at all if the battery's dead flat. Good Luck. Also better this than giving Microsoft another 60-70 dollars as a reward for shoddy work that lasts just long enough to go out of warranty!
