Google has previously released still photos from the headset but this is the first time video has been seen. It suggests the headset will be capable of shooting both video and still photography and shows the user doing something that would be difficult with a traditional camera. The new camera has a wide angle which attempts to mimic the user's actual point of view. Max Braun is the tech lead on Project Glass. He told PCWorld.com... "We see Glass as an evolution of cell phone photography ... so this means it's the next step of the camera that's always with you." Google's been granted at least nine new patents related to the technology. Including the ability to help head-of-hearing and deaf users to interpret sounds. A writer for ArsTechnica explains... "The glasses' heads-up display would show arrows and flashing lights to indicate the direction and intensity level of the sound, and even display the words nearby people are speaking." Google isn't the only company that is experimenting with high-tech eyewear. Sunglass maker Oakley is working on integrating smartphone technology into glasses. Oakley CEO Colin Baden told USA TODAY... "The glasses would sport a heads-up display, and potentially include voice commands and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth." My wife and me, taking off and landing at the Deer Valley Airport in Phoenix, Arizona, during our vacation in the USA (we are from Germany). On our way back, we change seats and fly over Phoenix and the PHX Airport, using the Class B VFR transition. In 2009 Deer Valley was the busiest general aviation airport worldwide(!!) and number 22 of all(!!) airports: www.airports.org When we took the footage of the landing for this video, one runway was closed and all the traffic was handled by just a single air traffic controller! Amazing job! While we usually share the work load, I did all the radio work this time, as my wife had a bad cold. The plane is a Cessna 172 with the G1000. We rented it from the flight school 'Westwind Aviation', which is located at the Deer Valley airport. As experienced a couple of times before, ATC at this relatively small airport was way more busy than the ATC of the international airport with its for many pilots 'scary' Class B airspace. On the radio, we are 'Skyhawk 24350' or just 'Skyhawk 350'. The cameras are GoPro HDs, I recorded the audio directly to my Android cell phone, using a custom made adapter cable for the headset jacks and the program 'Tapemachine'. The GPS overlay is done with a program I wrote by myself.

The feature set of this headset is impressive. Number 1, it automatically pairs with your PS3 when connected via the USB cable. Number 2, it acts as a desktop microphone when docked in case. The audio quality is top notch. It definitely ranks up there with the more expensive bluetooth headsets today. The bluetooth headset is not very comfortable in my opinion but this may vary from user to user. Overall, I believe the Official PS3 Bluetooth Headset is a good investment to accompany your PS3
